Our Official Opening!

After weeks and weeks of grey skies, squally wind, heavy rain and general misery, our big Opening Day came. What a difference!! The sun shone, there was no wind and it felt like our project was being blessed. .

What a fantastic morning. We had about fifty people come to support us and take an interest in what we are doing. We signed up a whole load of potential new Shedders, and we were able to show, first hand what it is that we are trying to achieve.

We owe thanks to so many people! Len Ellis-Brown cut the ribbon and declared the Shed open. Behind the scenes, the Pulborough Wardens helped to organize logistics. The Pulborough Scouts loaned us their marquee for the day. Lakers Builders Merchants supported us and a team of seven baking volunteers ensured that there were plenty of cakes, biscuits, savouries and other palate tempting, diet breaking goodies.

The Pulborough Shedders are now officially open as a Shed. Although we are affiliated to the UK Men's Shed Association, we are open to all and encourage anyone to come and meet us. We currently meet on Wednesday mornings (09.30 to 12.30)
